Fitness Activities: Healthy Body

Wake Up, Warm Up and Walk It Out! on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail
Saturday 8:30 - 10:30 am

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail provides a link between National Harbor, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia over the Potomac River. This well-used concrete path is wide enough to accomodate many users. There are areas with viewing scopes along the drawbridge, high plexiglass walls along part of the bridge provide a noise barrier from the heavy traffic.  An organized warm-up and workout will be offered before starting your walk.  Participants are encouraged to walk the scenic trail at their own pace or follow along with with the cadence provided by Team YMC. If you are in search of fitness or fun, the trail will provide it!

Signing  up on registration form for morning walks is recommended to we have a better way to communicate with you in advance.
 
 

LaBlast Dance Fitness Class – Back by Popular Demand, not Once but Twice!

Thursday  6:45 – 7:30 am 
 
LaBlast Dance Fitness is exercise based on Ballroom dancing and it’s partner-free! All the dances together are a true body workout: Cardio, Endurance, Weight Training, Plyometrics and Interval Training. Learn dances such as Jive, Disco, Lindy Hop, Quick Step, Paso Doble, Samba, Foxtrot, Rumba, Viennese Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Cha Cha and Hustle!  At the request of 2019 attendees, an evening class has been added.
